About Us

New Day Family Success Center is a community-based, family-centered neighborhood gathering place where any community resident can go for family support, information, and services. The Family Success Center’s goal is to enrich the lives of children and adults by making families stronger and empowering them to succeed.

At the Family Success Center you can learn new skills, share your talents, participate in activities, lead workshops, and meet others in your community. The center offers a variety of FREE educational workshops and activities for all ages in Atlantic County.

Meet Our Team

Stacey Lear-Program Director 

Stacey is motivated to enrich the lives of children and adults by making families stronger and empowering them to succeed. Stacey earned her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. Stacey is responsible for program planning, implementation and coordination of service activities. Stacey oversees all aspects of New Day FSC operations and has the responsibility of program evaluation and oversight. Stacey’s energetic community testimony speaks volume to the members she interacts with on a daily basis. Stacey's previous position included building connections with parents, faith communities, businesses, schools, service providers, local and county government and other agencies. Stacey’s strengths include problem solving in order to determine where resources need to be leveraged to better support and serve children and families in our community.  She is always identifying the strengths, challenges and service gaps between local towns and seeking to build greater interaction.  In addition, Stacey lends her time to tabling events, speaking engagements, coordinating social media content, and grassroots marketing campaigns.

Deise Rodrigues-Volunteer & Community Partnership Coordinator

Born and raised in Brazil—the largest country in Latin America surrounded by a rich historical culture and with a very diverse population comprising many races and ethnic groups, she has an in-depth understanding of diversity. Deise earned her PhD in History from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil), as part of her PhD, she worked as a Visiting Student Research Collaborator (VSRC) at Princeton University. She previously served as an AmeriCorps VISTA. Deise has experience focusing on Natural Disaster Preparedness. She is trained in volunteer mobilization and resource development. Deise has integrated herself into surrounding communities and is always building mutually beneficial relationships for New Day FSC. Deise’s impactful engagement in Atlantic County has increased collaborations with community partners. Deise oversees all volunteer functions. Deise is a writer, translator, avid traveler and salsa dancer.

Briar Gibbons-Family Partner

Briar is a dynamic, energetic, and creative individual who works directly with families assisting them to achieve their goals. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations from Rowan University.  She enjoys working with families to share everything New Day Family Success Center has to offer. She makes connections to best suit the needs of each individual family. She develops and facilitates events designed to instruct, inform, and strengthen individuals and families towards attaining self-sufficiency. She enjoys getting to know her community and spreading positivity to all she comes in contact with. Briar loves budgeting and cooking plant-based meals and enjoys educating the community on how to cut down on that grocery bill through the use of whole foods.

Nicole Worth-Family Partner                                                                                        

Nicole is a welcoming and friendly face who can work directly with families in assisting them to achieve their goals. Nicole obtained her position through a university community partner of New Day. She is active in the community bringing information and resources to families and local organizations. Her determination and experience in service learning projects made her an impeccable fit to be a family partner. She develops and facilities events designed to instruct, inform and strengthen individuals and families towards attaining self-sufficiency. Nicole earned her Bachelor's Degree from Stockton University in Health Science.  She is a dance instructor and understands the power of fitness, health and nutrition. Nicole is an avid believer of both fun and fitness!

New Day Family Success Center is part of a state-wide network of Family Success Centers funded by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families through Atlantic County and operated by Center For Family Services.  Community involvement and shared responsibility influence the development and implementation of programs and activities.
